beginner sewing courses: Bringing creative skills to your local community

I work with charities and community organisations to facilitate beginner sewing programmes for local communities.

These sessions focus on teaching absolute beginner skills, aimed at people who want to learn how to empower themselves through sewing.

We start with learning hand-sewing basics, to help everyone understand how to sew without a machine. We then move on to learning how to use domestic sewing machines, and then get taken through a project to help them refine their skills and put what they learn into practise.

Sewing machines are to be provided by the organisation.

Recommended Number of Participants per workshop: 5-20

Time for session: Recommended 2/2.5 hours per session

Age Group: 18+

Assistance Needed: Recommended for groups of more than 15 people
