Silver Gujarati Tie

£85.00

Our Silver Gujarati Tie has been sourced from Local charity shops and  transformed by Sapna, using detailed embroidery and embellishments inspired by the Jewellery and Garments traditionally worn during Garba. Garba is a traditional Gujarati Folk dance that honours the divine feminine energy of the Goddess Durga. The Oxidised Jewellery is typically made with tiny bells and embellishments to make noise whilst the dance is performed. Sapna has dedicated this tie to Garba, as she remembers dressing to perform when she was a child. The feeling of the oxidised jewellery made her feel connected to her roots when she was younger, and that feeling still lingers with her today.
